Here's what I want to do -- set up a VPN connection so all my traffic routes through my home PC to bypass the blocks my college has on POP3/SMTP (in place to prevent spam). The catch is, only traffic routed to ports 80 and 443 are permitted.
If I establish a SSH Tunnel to my house (port 443, already works), can I then route the VPN through the SSH tunnel?
Any suggestions how I'd do this?

I use a program called Stunnel to setup SSL and VPN connections. Note that your Sysadmins will be able to detect the VPN tunnel and my not like it. But Stunnel should be able to do what you want.
We suggest using http://www.vpnpower.net/ to unblock web sites. I am using their services for more than 2 years with no problems.
My spouse and i highly recommend using VPNPower to unblock sites. I've been with them since four years. http://www.vpnpower.net/
