Alrighty, So I downloaded the UTAUloid program and I downloaded a patch with it to make it english so I can see what i'm doing.
I made my own voicebank for a character/mascot that I recorded and edited myself. I arranged the files and put them into the UTAUloid programs folder.
Here's my problem;
Whenever I try to add a lyric and play it back, something pops up saying "utau1/temp.cache already exists" and all that plays back is static. so i did some searching on my computer and found the location of the temp.cache, inside the folder was a wav file. when I played it, it was the static i was hearing in UTAUloid when I tried to play things back.
Can anyone help me out? Thank you so much.

First off, there's a chance that your issue might be caused by not having your locale set to Japanese. English patch or not, locale is a necessary step in UTAU use/creation. Check this thread please: http://vocaloidotaku.net/index.php?/topic/25133-fa...
Second, your UTAU might be lacking a configured oto.ini. If you have any spaces in your recordings, then your UTAU will most likely play static. The oto.ini is a file that you edit that maps out each sound in your voicebank in a way that the software can properly read it. Check this for a basic oto tutorial: http://camilamelodia.blogspot.com/2010/08/how-to-m...
Third, if you're having a cache issue, you can turn off cache creation in UTAU, just in case. Try going to Option > Cache Config and messing with the settings.
For extra help in the future, you might want to check either the UTAU section on Vocaloidotaku.net, or UTAforum.net.
