I'm going to be a registered nurse soon. I was wondering how to become a travel nurse and what or how many years of experiences in the hospital to qualify? Also, is travel nursing a competitive position?

Almost all travel nursing agencies want a minimum of a year of experience working in acute care (hosptial). Some of them prefer 2-5 years.
But once you have that experience under your belt, no, it's not very competative. Everyone I have ever known who wanted to get into it had no trouble at all. They only took the assignments they wanted in locations they wanted to travel to.
If I didn't have kids, I'd be traveling too! Maybe once they're off to college, that's what I'll do. :)
