Hi,
I would love some help from experience travelers, Vietnamese locals or people who just love Vietnam.
My family and I of 2 adults and 2 girls 18 and 16 years want to travel to Vietnam for one month or a bit longer in the Christmas holidays.
We have never traveled to Asia before but want to spend a month or more immersing ourselves in Vietnamese culture.
We don’t know many places to visit so your recommendations would be fantastic and greatly appreciated.
Also we want this trip to be as cheap as possible!!!!
Could anyone recommend?
- Vietnamese cooking courses
- Local Vietnamese gems
- Fantastic cafes
- Interesting landmarks
- Exciting markets
- gardens
- Or any other fantastic sites that are must do’s
Also during this time we would love to do a river or ocean cruise around Vietnam:)
Can anybody recommend a good quality cruise company who they are experienced or have traveled with in the past?
Many Thanks

As always, it depends on what you like and what you want to see/do...
Wrong way round if you're going to Phu Quoc - http://www.phuquocislandshow.com/ ? I always like to do the sea/beach bit right at the end, so I'd start at Hanoi and finish at Saigon.
Not enough Hue - http://www.huetravelshow.com/ ? I'd drop Dalat altogether and add more Hue.
Not enough Saigon - http://www.saigontravelshow.com/ ? Drop some PQ and add more Saigon?
I always think the main thing is to keep it very flexible, so you can speed up/slow down depending on how much you like where you are/the weather/events, but some people like to have everything organized and scheduled from start to finish...
Cheers,
Dien Bien Phu, My Lai, Khe Sahn, and the Ho Chi Minh Trail are relaxing places to relive your memories. Give them a visit!
