I got a seatbelt/ and failure to stop completely at a stop sign ticket about a year ago.... went to court to pay it and to my luck they lost the ticket, nothing in the system so I went home scott free. Well last month I got another speeding ticket I was going 75 in a 70. Today I went to court again to pay... and once again the ticket is lost they told me to go home and not to worry about it. My question is can these tickets come back and bite me in the butt? I showed up cash in hand both times they couldn't find the ticket. I never keep up with anything so I put a sticky note on my dash board saying October 21st Pay Fine. They asked where ther ticket was I told them at home but I would have to search my *** off to find it because I moved between then and now. They said well we have nothing in the system so I wouldn't worry about it she told me to follow up in the next county maybe somehow its there I did... but they couldn't find anything too... maybe Im just lucky but I don't want to forget to signal one day and end up in jail bc I didnt pay two tickets that my city are not organized enough to keep up with... so should I just consider myself lucky? Has this ever happened to anyone else? The first time I sat in court all day then they finally just dismissed the case after searching. The second time I just went to records and she said to just go home...
