I Ice my leg after I run because I am beginning to develop shin splints. yesterday I was Icing my leg. I was finished and I removed the icepack. Immediately following, I put my legs in the warm pool. After I got out my leg, in the area that i iced, was all burning ad tingly. I know that is probably because of the quick temperature change but a day later, the area is red and swollen. Has anyone ever had that happen? why is it happening? What should I do?

You may have left the ice on for too long.
It should be there for about 10 minutes, it is possible to get a burn from the ice and you may damage your muscles.
Maybe you iced it to long. Remember when your icing it to switch between ice and heat. :)
