Which defensive player do you think is better. Who is a better tackler, leader, and most fearsome?
Also, I'm getting one of the two players jersey for Christmas, who do you think I should get? I want to wear it to school. I'm a Patriots fan and I'm a wide receiver in real life but I already have Randy Moss. So, which do you think I should get?

In their primes Lewis by atleast a continent, Lewis has the capacity to go down as one of the greatest defensive players ever, Polamalu just really became a big name and still isnt nearly as respected in his prime as much as Lewis was. Teams know how to beat Troy, put him up against the fastest slot youve got and hes just like John Lynch, easily forgetable (not to say he doesnt come out on top in these cases sometimes). But in Lewis' prime no one knew how to stop him, he had great recocnition so play action and draws diddnt work, douible teaming him diddnt work and tripple teaming him was super risky since that definately left another defender open (another thing Troy doesnt do, contribute to the success of the defense overall), couldnt run away from him because his lateral movements were incredible and the hits were better than any one playing today could ever dream of delivering. As far as fear is concerened Lewis still gets a lot of respect, Troy gets respect but really isnt as feared as Lewis was in his prime, QBs dont shy away from him completely and recievers arnt terrified to take him on. And if this counts Lewis has managed to stay healthy his entire 13 year career (hence his outragous numbers), where as Troy has some problems in this area.
Better leader- Lewis
Better Takler-Lewis
Most feared- Lewis
But when it comes to a lot of things Troy is better...
Better at forcing turnovers- Troy
Better at coverge- Troy
Better overall athelete- Troy (though Lewis in his prime was a monster)
Why not just get a Brady Jersey? or if you want to be a little different get a Maroney jersey
Well, first of all, you are comparing a MLB to a SS... Not an easy comparison.
However, if you place the two side by side, Troy is the MUCH more important player at this point in their careers. Lewis is far past his prime while Polamalu is at his prime. Polamalu is a game changer and it is because of his injuries that the league's best defense has become pedestrian at best. Polamalu has the best closing speed in the game. He will be on the complete other side of the field and still make the tackle in the backfield. At this point in his career Lewis is benefiting greatly from the team around him. Take him out and the Ravens won't miss him much. He is not the cornerstone of the Ravens' defense (that would be Haloti Ngata). Troy Polamalu IS the cornerstone of the Steelers' defense and that has been proven this season.
at the beginning, for me to respond to this question you will desire to understand that Polamalu is a sturdy protection and Ed Reed is a loose protection. The notice protection is puzzling, because of the fact they are fairly distinctive positions. The job of a good protection is to be waiting to be versatile and help end the run, besides as help the passing pastime. A loose protection is extra of a bypass-defender, and mutually as they are envisioned to help the run, they are lots extra bypass defenders than they are run defenders. i'm a Steelers fan so i would be biased, yet that being mentioned if I had the alternative between the two if could be Troy. Troy is impactful on just about each play and is often in the pastime. Reed makes large performs in approximately the different pastime, yet Troy makes large performs once you prefer them, including against the Ravens the place he sacked Flacco for a fumble that the Steelers then recovered.
Ray Lewis no question, Troy has not even won a Defensive player of the Year award; Lewis has won 2.
Ray is more vocal, but Troy changes games.
