rabbit trouble?
my rabbit has had some babys but while she was trying to give birth the boy was out of his hutch and must have disturbed her because when i came into the shed to check them:she had given birth and thats when i relised the boy was out and there was a bit of blood on the floor.the babys were dead but there was only 3 of them.she had them to early anyway she wasnt due of a couple of days more.because it was to early and she only had 3 do you think she still has some more in her tummy???

its best to take her to the vet and get a ultrasound done thats the only way to know for sure. rabbits are natural pray so when they are hurting they hide it and you wont know if she is sick till she dies. i just lost my 3 year old flemish gient about a month ago he was the sweetest rabbit ive ever had he was fine and out of nowere he died i never even knew he was sick

If the mom was young or if she was smaller breed than the male, there is a possibility of the babies dying. And small litters are common with the first pregnancy... some even have only one the first time around.
But keep an eye on her. If she does have more babies in her, they'd have to happen within the near few hours at most. She might have gotten scared and stopped for a bit.
You need to take her to the vet. You need to seperate the parents and have them both spayed/neutered. Did you know rabbits are the 3rd highest species of animal killed in shelters every year. Unnecessary breeding only increases these numbers. Anyone looking for a new addition to their family should contact a Rabbit Rescue or a Shelter in their area. They animals desperately need homes!
