Hi, I am a mommy to an 18 month old little girl who is potty training! And from first hand experiance...it's very time consuming. My daughter can talk, but she doesn't say 'mama I have to pee/poo" which means I am constintaly asking her 'do you have to go potty' and normally she will say 'yea' if she has to go, or if she wants to go and try. BUT...what you also have to remember is this means when you are out having dinner, or shopping...you are always asking 'do you have to go potty'. Which means you are always running to the potty. So if you don't think you are ready for all that and your daughter isn't showing sighns of being ready, then I would wait a little longer. I woud let her go into the bathroom with me, so she knows where to go, and what to do. Maybe even by her a potty that she can just sit on while you are going?!?

I also believe we/as moms can get very frustrated at society. I think they push us to all be alike. Everyone's child should be potty trained by 2...is what we all think. WELL>...according to 2007 pediatrics..the average girl isn't potty trained till 3 and boy is 4.

Since she's still very young, you can start doing some research, and buying stuff to help you out.

but..if it's summer there, then you should be ok with regular panties. Especially if your outside a lot.

Does your daughter like dora? or princess? If so you can get a character hand soap. Something just for her.

Potty training can be a tiring time. I remember when I was potty training my girls and had to go shopping. Every time we went to a new store they had to potty when we got there and before we left.

If we where going on long trips I took a potty with us in the car.
