When our lab mix was a puppy we kept her in a crate at night. She would cry so loud we couldn't get to sleep on the second floor with the door shut (she was on the first floor). I ended up singing her to sleep for a few weeks. It helped. I would just sit by her crate and sing and talk to her until she was asleep and then I'd sneak up to bed. The other thing we did that also helped eliminate these late night cries was keep her up all day long. Whenever she would try to to take a nap during the day we would wake her up and get her to play. That way by the time night rolled around she was too tired to cry.
She is probably missing her litter mates. It takes a while for a puppy to settle in to its new home. Just make sure she is not cold or hungry. Puppies of this age should be having 4/5 meals per day. I feed mine 7 a.m. 11 a.m. 2 p.m 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. You cannot expect a young puppy to go right through the night without being fed before bedtime.
Make sure she has water nearby in case she's thirsty.
Don't give her cow's milk. This can give a puppy diarrhoea.
Get her a nice big cuddly toy to snuggle up to in her bed. She's had her Mum and siblings to keep her warm up to now so she will be missing that contact.
Perhaps you could leave a radio on in the room where she sleeps so she doesn't feel completely alone.
Buy a Kong and fill it with some of her kibble. It will help to occupy her if she wakes up during the night.
I'm sure she will settle down soon Just give her plenty of cuddles and reassurance, it's all a whole new world for her and she will probably be a little scared right now.
Just a few suggestions. I hope you find them helpful.
Like everyone has said, it is normal. Good news is, it will stop eventually. Your pup is use to warm pups and momma heart pounding on them to sleep. She needs to now get use to being with a human family. I would suggest putting the pup on your chest or by your neck to fall asleep. This is warm and comforting because they can feel the heart beat like they are use to with their own momma. Also, a puppy at that age needs to go out at least every 2 hours to potty. I would stick to doing that for a little bit and that may relieve her from being a little uncomfortable. Also, their bladder muscles aren't all the way developed so if she is trying to hold it for a while that may irritate her if you are potty training.
Yes it is normal. I put a tick-tock clock, if you have one under her blankets where she sleeps. It seems to give the illusion of another puppy or mothers heart beat.
Or something similar if you can find anything. It always worked for me.
When she's not used to the new enviroment, she'll cry and feel very uncomfortable, like your puppy. Just give her some time to get used to her sorroundings, and she'll calm down.
another tip.
If she wakes up, feed her a bottle and she'lll go back to sleep!!!
Shes not use to her new home yet play with her walk her tire her out. this is normal. She should get use to it in about 1-2 weeks. just be patiant, comfort her. good luck

A hot water bottle and a ticking clock in the box/crate. She's used to sleeping with her mates and now she's alone.
This works like a charm.
I raise dogs and do this 2-3 days BEFORE I send a puppy to a new home.
I think 8 weeks is a bit young to be sold.
I usually wait until 10 weeks to place my dogs.

Have a clothing item with your scent in her bed. Maybe play some quiet relaxing type of music.
