I started out by buying a simple white potty that looked the closest to a regular toilet. No bells n' whistles. Then I got her the "Feel N Learn" pull-ups which are great because when they are wet, they feel wet to the child. Then we had a "sticker" program. I would put her potty in front of the toilet and we would both go potty together. Every time she was successful, she got a sticker that she placed on the bathroom cupboard beside her potty chair. That way she was able to see the rewards of her efforts. And I also made a big effort to praise her really dramatically! Then we'd both empty her potty into the toilet and wave and say "bye-bye peepees/poopoos, thanks for coming out!" She'd sometimes just sit on the chair and "pretend" to potty just so she'd get a sticker! But she quickly figured out that she needed to produce visible results... It took about 2 months. Then I took her shopping and let her pick out her own underwear (Dora). She was so happy to wear them and very, very proud. She had a few accidents but I never made a big deal out of them to her. It got tricky when we went out because it's important that as soon as said she had to potty, we had to pull over right away. I was sure NOT to fall back on the pullups just because we were out. It just prolongs the process. She was able to wear underwear during the day and a pullup at night. Then, eventually she lost the nightime pullup and I woke her at 2am and took her to the potty - every night for about a week. And then that was that.

Every child is different tho - the key is to make a big fuss when they go and not make a fuss if they don't. Good luck with it.

Well first off no bribing you should of started at one, but when i started mine at one he did the same thing as far as wanting his pull-ups, so i got firm put them out of sight and made him ware cloth training pants, and had some messy times however he did not like the very nonabsorbent under ware and started going to the potty, by one in a half he no longer messed himself except for an occasion good luck

it really takes a while. i know because my daughter is three and still has issues with it. at home she goes sometimes by herself and then other times i am putting her on the potty. when she goes to school she sometimes does go by herself and if they dont put her to go to the bathroom she will just go on herself. i dont know. i get frustrated and see other peoples children that are okay. then at night i put diapers, because she is not ready to be on panty at night. i feel this way but many people tell me to get up all during the night. this question is really tricky and i just think that when the child is ready she will really be ready. each child develops differently. good luck to you

lol seems like you have done everything, but i think that in due-time she will be ready! but like make it a happy thing, like when you sit her on the potty, clap your hands and say YAY! make it more fun like she did something great! it will make her feel happy and accomplished. give her time though.

GIVE HER PANTIES AND LET HER WEAR THEM, WHEN SHE PEES OR POOPS IN THEM SHE LEARN HOW UNCOMFORTABLE IT IS TO HAVE THEM ON CAUSE SHE WILL BE SOAKED. YOU WILL BE DOING LAUNDRY A LOT MORE BUT EVENTUALLY SHE WILL GET TIRED OF IT AND TELL HER BIG GIRLS WEAR PANTIES SHOW HER YOU PANTIES AND BE LIKE SEE MOMMA WEARS PANTIES I HOPE YOU FIND SOMETHING THAT WORKS GOOD LUCK
