My 3 year old is potty trained, for the most part. She has accidents now and again, but not because she doesn't know she has to potty, it's because she swears she's "too little" to pull her panties down. She will stand in front of the potty and wet herself, rather than pull her panties down. This doesn't happen all the time, though. She usually DOES do it herself, just every once in a while, she'll do this. And then she cries, because she's wet. What can I do to help her?
Also, she does this regardless of what she's wearing. She can be in JUST her panties, and still won't pull them down. (there was a question as to if her pants were bunching up, and she couldn't get them down)
Update:She IS trained. She knows what to do, and how to do it, and usually goes by herself without even telling me that she needed to go. But every once in a while, it's like she panics and won't even try to pull her panties down. She tells me she's too small to do it by herself. I know better, because she usually DOES do it by herself...
She hasn't had an accident besides while standing in front of the potty for more than a month. Not at bedtime or otherwise. She will get up in the night and use the potty.

Perhaps not too helpful......... Does she ever go with you when you go to the toilet? Have you considered giving her a step to climb onto the grown up toilet? It might be that she is copying another child who has that unfortunate habit, or that she is so absorbed in what she is doing until it is almost too late.
One starting point might be to observe what happens, when it happens, and to see if you can work out from that why it is happening.
I find it useful to remember that it takes 20 minutes for a drink to go from one end to the other. This is a general rule of thumb in trying to second-guess a toddler's actions.
You are the person uniquely placed to work this out, and although it could be a little worrying for your daughter, sometimes, it is only a phase, and this too will pass. [My personal reality check!]
Good luck, your daughter is lucky to have a really caring mother.
give her 5 m&M or something if she goes pee in potty and none and a sad face if she stands there and pee her panties
once she seems to be trained slowly stop the M&M and dont let her pee a little hold it pee a little 5 min late hold in pee a little late... so she can get alot of M&M, she has to empty the bladder to earn the M&Ms
