hey, so im planning to major in pharmacy, and Im really into UNC. Im currently attending a technical college in NC (Wake tech CC). I was looking at the prerequistes for UNC and its like 60 smtn hours, so I was wondering if it was possible to just transfer directly from wake tech with only the prerequistes (not exactly a BS) or would I have to finish all the chemistry courses, and get my bs in chem. and then go to a school of pharmacy...
Thanks

At this point, an undergraduate degree is NOT REQUIRED to enter the professional Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) program. It may change in the future. All you have to do is finish the pre-req courses before you start Pharm. school.
That being said, schools do give weight to how many degrees you've earned and you may not be admitted the first time and then get admitted when you finish your Bachelor's and reapply.
If you've got a solid academic history, it's worth giving a try as soon as you're done with the pre-reqs and get the PCAT out of the way. Good luck!
