I'm planning enrolling into a Pharmacy School. So i have 2 choices either get my bachelor's degree OR take prerequisitives at college plus finish pharmacy technician program and start working. I'm 23 years old and just starting out. So what would be better? and since it's really competitive that's why most of the people already have their BS.
Update:i meant take prerequis. for pharmacy school and work as a pharmacy tech. while in college, then apply for Pharmasy school. instead of getting BS. So what would be better? Since having a family i trying to hurry up.

Hey I'm a pharmacy student. You are right, you do have 2 choices, to get a Bachelor's first, and then go to pharmacy school or be a pharm tech. What I would suggest is to go to school and get your pre-reqs done, and work part time as a tech, and get all of the pharmacy pre-reqs done and then apply. Some schools do not require you to have a Bachelor's degree to apply, many have PharmD programs that you have 2 years of pre-reqs, and then 3-4 years of professional courses. In the long run, it may end up being more money to become a pharmacist, but you will make more money in your lifetime than you would as a tech, and you wouldn't have to go back to school.
Pharmacy is a warm field to get into, in certainty maximum wellness care professions are in severe call for and in ordinary terms getting greater. perhaps discover something that would require much less time to coach for, pay properly and nevertheless do the paintings which you like on the area. try Nursing or X-Ray techs. the different earnings of healthcare professions is maximum scientific institution jobs are 3 - 12 hour shifts a week as comprehensive-time. Leaving you with 4 days a week to do your paintings!! Nursing & X-ray are 2 12 months stages with stable commencing pay. stable luck!!
The pharmacy schools require a BS degree for admission.
You're right, it is competitive and the BS will make you much more competitive. Are you speaking of being a pharmacist or being a pharmacy tech? There is a big difference.
