Would this combo work? Would the 1 point of damage from the longbow, count as a win with the phage ability of dealing damage? Also is Phage legal in tourney play?
Phage's ability clearly states that it requires "combat damage" to be dealt. Using the longbow to do the damage is not "combat damage". The only way to deal combat damage is, well, through combat. The above poster seems to not have a clue about this, and is obviously not a judge... This is a pretty easy question. I do suspect he is a troll.
As for legal in tournaments, it is legal in tournaments where both cards are legal, I.E. Extended, Legacy and Vintage, though your desired outcome will not be produced.
No you wouldn't through the longbow, because Phage makes the defending player lose the game when Phage deals combat damage to that player. Viridian Longbow's damage isn't combat damage. Phage is legal in extended, legacy, and vintage.
Phage is not banned. Ib would be lying if I said she was not annoying but removals can take care of her though. Should she be banned mabye. On the hand she is beatable on the other hand if you throw r ample on here and you deck is not built with a lot of removals she can be a pest. Regardless I do think ability is a bit overpowered. I can deal with my creatures dying but wining the game until she is put on the field with trample well you can imagine how that went lol. Good card either way so keep using her!

No, the combo would not work. Phage the Untouchable needs to deal COMBAT DAMAGE. Using Viridian Longbow will only deal damage, not combat damage.
Phage the Untouchable is currently not Legal in Standard/Type 2 Tourneys, but it is Legal in Extended, Legacy and Vintage.
