Just remember you must have a passport to leave the country, That includes crossing the border into Mexico and Canada as well as going overseas to any other country. Just come back, Because no country is as good as the US in most people opinions even though we are in debt because we are very free ;) Have fun on wherever you are going.
Foreign exchange students travel at the age of 16 so it's at most that age. I traveled alone out of the country at age 17. You might want to check with your airline because even though you are legal to travel, an airline might have a policy that precludes you.
