The white membrane, or third eye I believe, shows when my cat is relaxed and is falling asleep. It doesn't appear to be swollen. Is it something the vet needs to take a look at? Or is it normal to 'show'?
When a cat's third eyelid is showing, it can be a sign of sickness. I worked for a vet long ago and I also own three cats myself. Please take kitty to the vet. I am supplying a link too for more information. This comes directly from a cat expert: http://felinedocs.com/dr-diana-lafer/that-mysterio...
Hope all goes well for you. Our one cat got sick a while back, very sick, and this was our first clue. He's fine and dandy due to that warning sign and early detection.
