my chow chow?
I have a full breed Chow and he is about 5 yrs old he keeps scratching at his ears and they need clean they do have a smell to them as well. But the problem is i took him to the vet and it takes 4-5 people to hjold him down and he wont let no one touch him including myself. We tried eardrops and everythign nothing is working i cant afford to keep taking him so expensive what could i do..somone said omega pills?? he bites hiself as well too.

He needs an ointment from the Vet, when they smell it is a yeast infection, over the counter is a waste of money, maybe the vet can sedate him, biting himself is probably and allergy, try a high grade kibble that is NOT beef or chicken or allot of fillers, merrick, verus any of the ones you can get in a holistic pet shop if any are near you, canidae is good but they do have a new formula now that has been causing problems with some of the greyhounds, fish,venison,rabbit based food cause the least allergies
