I been wanting a perm for a while now, my hair condition is great except for the fact that its really thick and really long just before my butt. I don't want a really curly perm I want more of waves or natural curls. Any oppinions or suggestions

This is going to sound weird, but if you haven't started your period yet, don't get a perm. Also speak with a professional about a perm. They aren't something to mess around with. I have very long very straight and very thick hair, and perms don't work on me. They pull out very quickly, of course I hadn't started my period yet, and was told that it might not take. I recommend looking at pictures of people with a similar face shape with the kind of hair you want, and determining if you think it will look good on you. Also again make sure you speak with a professional, and really listen to their recommendations. They might tell you the only way to have a perm is to cut your hair significantly shorter than you want to go.
The biggest tip I can give you is that there are more people who would kill to have your hair just as it is. Learn to love your hair and the things you can do with it! And if you really want to get curly hair get yourself some rag rollers or foam rollers, and put your hair up and see what it does to your hair (the bigger the curlers the less curly your hair will be). If you get foam rollers (they have some at Target that are like rag rollers (white with a foam block and wire through the block inside the fabric)) but they make very tight curls, but they are comfortable to sleep in, and in the morning your hair will be super curly!
Good luck!
