my legs have been extremely itchy, irritated and sore lately. i've been using the same brand of razor and shaving cream since i first started shaving my legs 4 years ago. my mom thinks i'm pressing on my skin too hard and i also apply lotion afterwords. but they're so miserable lately, and i cant figure out why! if i dont press hard repeatedly then my legs will be hairy! is it the scented lotion? cream? i'm soo confused.

Well, here are my thoughts. As we grow, get older, our bodies tend to change and our hormone levels change as well. There is a chance that what was once OK for you is now an irritant. This goes with food as well. Maybe your hormone levels are affecting the oils your body releases and it's causing this itching on the surface of your skin, also, as you shave your pores may open and the products you use can be "soaked" into your skin causing the itching to surface from below your skin. Those are the best reasons I can think of. I hope this helps. Try checking with a doctor or dermatologist, it could be dermatitis, which can be treated with ointments.
You could be giving yourself ingrown hairs. Or maybe your having a allergic reaction to the combo of shaving cream and then lotion. Try using Nair, they have it for sensative skin and it works really good. If the itching doesn't stop you could have something else going on, go see your doctor, you can develop allergies to things you use all the time. Your body is constantly changing so it's easy to develop new allergies.
