Personally, I dont think it is..........yet anyway. And I think if and when we do stumble accross a way to travel through time, we will only be able to go back, not forwards. Forwards hasnt been writen yet, but back has so it will be easyier.
I also think whoever figures out how to do it first, they will have to keep it a secret...they could change the world, government leaders wont want that would they?
what do you think??????????????????????
is it a possability, or just a dream

No its not possible. At least not into the past. In order to travel back in time, you would have to travel at speeds higher than the speed of light. This is impossbile because in order for an object to travel at the speed of light it would have to be infinitely dense which requires infinite energy.
It's not "Time Travel" that's so 20th century now it's called "Retrocausality".
Yes. Time travel is possible. But it's not the cool
"The Time Machine, Donnie Darko, Back to the Future, Primer, Timecop, Timeline" type of time travel.
Oddly enough the 7000$ movie Primer actually treats the subject material really well but is also bogus, as is most of the treatment the subject gets in venues like "Star Trek" , although I did love an episode set called "The Year of Hell" where a Captain Ahab like character is tortured by spending hundreds of years manipulating the timeline to recover his devistated civilization.
Back in reality however,
Physicists have alreadly created situations where they can manipulate the speed of light using very cold lasers and such.
The basic implications are that you "could" in theory send a message across a distance "instantaneously", by varying the speed of light either greatly or using what Einstein refered to as "spooky action at a distance", where pairs of particles materialize based on their quantum state through the use of Penning traps, quantum discriminators and such you can "send" information across any distance you like. This was discovered and experimentally verified by simple , powerful experiments of Erwin Schroedinger and his famously hapless "quantum cat thought experiment", quantum kitties aside, This is (in a way) a form of time-travel but really it's more like time-nullification, since you're not going backward, but you didn't take any time to travel that distance either.
The closest example in pop culture would be something like John Carpenter's "The Prince of Darkness" (hopefully without all the evil and whatnot though), type of time travel, where you aren't sending people or things, we would receive limited messages from the future.
While we can't do this quite yet, there was an experiment recently where scientists are working on designing an experiment to send a message or a particle set backwards in time (only a few seconds). This is funded research and currently being done, (see Scientific American Article on retrocausality - wikipedia)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Retrocausality
However since this is publicly in the experimental phase, and it's so closely alligned with items which have national security implications for every nation on earth, you can be sure some government(s) somewhere is/are funding research clandestinely.
However, while we can go backwards, there is no forwards, you travel forward by writing messages to yourself saying open in two weeks.
We also have NO scientific (although there is much philosophical debate) evidence to suggest what might actually occur regarding paradoxes (giving yourself the lottery numbers for example), preventing an accident etc.
There are two possibilities basically.
1. The future is essentially fixed, so it may well be that the timeline that sends the message here is the timeline where that event occured anyway (A pop culture reference would be something like "12 Monkeys").
2. The future is not fixed, where time can be altered or adjusted based on adjustments made at some point in the future. (The adjusted timeline would cease to exist - like in "Back to the Future, Deja Vu, Timecop" or most popular Scifi)
If God allows it, I think it possible. There have certainly been many strange sightings in the past and today of things that shouldn't exist. I think right now that most time slippage is due to "natural" things, like"folds" in time that randomly happen. Some"ghosts" may even be things "recorded" in small electrical fields which transfer data to sometime in the future. There have been experiments in time travel and time/space travel as well. I believe not all of the "time travelers" questioned by the press or governments are people with mental problems. I would hope that the"real" ones keep their machines out of the hands of the people in the past who arent ready for it.
"If time travel were possible, where are all the tourists?"
I'm afraid I forgot the source of that quote.
Also, travel into the future is rather straightforward (here is a crude analogy: under the right circumstances you can travel through the time dimension at a different speed than other parts of the universe) . Read a book about the theories of relavitiy.
Yea, go 2 the Guardien of Forever or fly around the sun at Warp12 LOL
Ah, no, but if we COULD go faster than light, according 2 Enstine, maybe
Just dont change the time line... u could be punished(Tempral Accord)
Yes time travel is possible. We are traveling to the future 1 second at a time. Theorists believe that travel to the past is impossible.
Did you know that their is a physicist at the Univ. of Connecticut that is actually working on such a machine. The best part is he's actually getting paid! So............I guess it must be a possability. Go Huskies!!!!!!!!!!
maybe
