I just took a 4 hour flight from Seattle to Chicago with my 8 month old son. He is also teething and doesn't enjoy the pacifier. I was terrified, to say the least, before I left. I actually forgot the infant tylenol before I left but I did bring a pacifier. He actually took the pacifier for both take-off and landing both ways! He had no problems with his ears. Try giving the pacifier to your baby girl anyway and hopefully she will take it. If not, try planning her feedings around take-off and landing as I have heard that works well too. Good Luck! And don't worry, I'm sure your baby will do fine!
When we had to travel with my son at that age and teething. I took him to his dr and explained that we would have a long flight and asked if the dr could help. He gave me medication to give him an hour or so before the flight and he slept through most of it. This was a god send! He was even sleepy enough that he sucked his pacifier during take off.
Look for a product called "earplanes" at your local drug store. i found them at wal-mart. They are little earplugs that are designed to help releive air pressure in little kids ears and worked great for my son when we flew when he was 9 months old and also cutting teeth.
I'd also recommend a call to the pediatrician. Ours recommended giving our son a dose of childrens benedryl to help him stay calm and a little sleepy. he used it for his own kid. there is some debate in the medical community about this but it really helped us and our baby and my sanity. benedryl is used for more than allergy purposes.
put a little piece of cotton ball in her ear while on the plane and give her baby tylenol
