I am thinking about naming my baby "Charlie"...?
And my last name is Childs. Obviously Charles Childs would sound dumb so we would be naming it Charlie on it's birth certificate. I hear that's a very common name in England. But do you think Charlie Childs is a nice name? I love it but most people frown when I tell them that. I'm aware that people will probably call him Charlie Brown and such. And Charlie probably wouldn't sound that great on an adult, but I figure he could always go by Chuck when he gets older, and I like that name too. I'm just looking for a few unbiased opinions on here. Thanks!
Update:Oh, and the Charlie bit my finger video is where we got the idea. That, and Charlie from Lost. :)

I love Charlie as a name but I don't like Charles. Like you I would put Charlie on his birth certificate. Charlie is really cute for a little boy but it is a good strong masculine name that suit an adult too.
I actually know more adults than children named Charlie

it's something new and fresh... and they used to do it a long time ago too, I don't think it's just starting but that it's becoming more popular. It makes everything different, and not the exact same. Imagine if the guys names were only John and Jack. Some names are too over used so now there are more unique names. I think it's a good idea. They used to have names like Whitney for guys but now its strictly girls name.
