how should i travel?
My school is about a mile away from my house and my mom wont drive me. I could walk but my backpack weighs a ton. My bike is also a possibility but i would need a basket for my backpack. Besides only the nerdy girls ride there bikes to school. What should I do?

Bike, and lighten up your backpack. It's not good for your back to carry a heavy backpack every day, regardless of how you travel. Once you get used to the balance, you can carry 25+ pounds in a backpack on the bike, but again it's bad for your back.
You could try walking with one of those backpacks with wheels or try a different style bag that distrubutes the weight more evenly (like a messenger bag). And don't worry about what the other kids think - be a trend setter!
