That was good. It was 21%, but if you felt like she did a good job, then it was justified.

In general, 15% is the average. You tipped a bit over that but not inappropriately. While I aim for exceptional service to all my clients, I will admit that those that tip me generously are remembered and rewarded. I try to give all my clients 100% but the generous tippers are the ones who get free bang trims, brow waxes, special discounts on other services, etc. Even those that don't tip me at all get great service because I love what I do and respect and appreciate my clients and their loyalty, but they don't get freebies or extras. Just so you don't think I'm a jerk about it, here's an example. A very loyal client went through a hard spell. When she canceled her regular appointment, I called to make sure everything was ok. (She hasn't missed an appointment in 2 years) She said her husband had been laid off. I put her back on her regular schedule and told her we would continue to do her hair cuts on schedule and later, when things were back to normal she could buy me lunch or something. I ended up only having to give her 3 or 4 free haircuts before her hubby got back to work and I was very glad to do it. Things are back to normal for her and her family and I'm glad I was able to help her out. Believe me when I tell you that we appreciate your generosity.

That is a very generous tip, but for a well done waxing, then it is much deserves. Cosmeticians do make a decent salary but by no means would they turn down a tip like that. Well done and your beauty professional will no doubt remember your generosity and give you even better service next time. :)

Well it kind of depends, if she was super good yes, okay. But if she was alright, I would think about 5.00.
