how long til my kitty gives birth?
my kitty is pregnant ( i know there are tons of cats in shelters i work at two shelters ) it was an accident) she got out the day that we were bringing her in to get fixed and you had to plan it months ahead (don't ask me why ...its the damn vet) she just started licking her genitalia very frequently and very vigorously . and i have read after that it should be 24-72 hours til she goes into labor is that true?
after the kittens are old enough to be off mom we are getting her fixed

I suggest making her a extremely comfy area and show her it and let her tell you because there is no way you can predict these this PS don't touch the kittens till they are 1 month old because the mother will shun them if you do then you will have to take 24/7 care of them and feed them once an hour every hour a lot of work :)
If she's licking herself the kittens will be born most likely overnight. Lock her into her birthing spot with water and litterbox (no lid though)
Cats have a gestation period of about 60-75 days. But only your vet could really tell you how far she is in her pregnancy.
