If you are looking for memory installed on your computer: Right Click "My Computer" and look on the last line under "Computer"
If you are looking for Hard Disk space: Double Click My Computer > Right Click C: Drive > Click Properties. The pie chart will show you in Purple how much free space you have left.
You are very confused. Downloading programs doesn't take up RAM on a computer. RAM stores the data for the open windows and processes that are currently running on your computer. You hard drive space is all that is being used when you download a new program.
You can check how much space is left on your hard drive by going into My Computer and right clicking your main drive (usually C:\). Then clicking properties.
Downloading programs does not use up your RAM. It uses up your Hard Drive space. When you run these programs is when it starts to use your RAM. It doesn't get rid of it though it just uses it. Right click on My Computer and you will have your RAM amount. Go into my computer and right click on Local Disk (C:) is usually the default and go to properties to see how much Hard Drive space you have left.
i think you mean sace... on your hard drive... ram is not affected by the size of a download... it is however consumed while using certain programs or a few at once... vista uses 1.5 gigs of RAM all by itself... i only got 4g in my system and my graphics card want 2g to run...don't leave much for crysis...
