I am 17 years old in my senior year of highschool. I don’t want to go to college because I can’t adford it and if I did go I would have to stay in state so I could but I want to leave so bad. I want to get out of my state I want to travel. The only thing I have a passion for is music. I don’t want to go to the same college as everyone in my town and I don’t want to go to college and then work a 9-5 job the rest of my life. Please help me I just want to leave. I have 6 months left of highschool to figure out if I should go to college or what else I should do like how to get out.

Most states are large. Going to an in state university still gets you away from home. Go to the largest university in your state. Have you gone on any college visits? Met with admissions and taken a tour of the campus? Go to a couple of universities in your state before you make a decision.
There are many schools with music majors.
You hate your state, how much of your state have you actually seen?
Many college grads are not working an office job 9-5.
My sister had a Bachelor degree in microbiology and works for a major food company. Her job has sent her all over the US and aboard.
You need a dose of reality. You want to leave your town. You want to travel. Then you need a good job with a decent salary. To get that you need an education or training. More than what a high school degree can give you.
You go to a university or community college or trade school to get training and education for a job. CC can offer some good two, year or less, career programs.
Join the military band?
You must realize that most colleges have great music programs, right? You can get a BA in music performance.
And most states in the USA are large enough that you can go to a state college a couple of hundred miles away from home. Believe me, you'll meet all new people there, and your family won't come see you more than once, because driving that distance is just no fun. It's the best way to explore your independence.
What's the alternative? Hitchhiking to a music city and bumbling around sleeping in parks, getting ripped off and worse while you try to get a gig? Good luck with that.
My suggestion is to join the military.
You will get a regular paycheck, most of which you can save.
You will attain the best physical condition of your life, and all your needs will be met: food, housing, medical/dental/vision care, job training, work uniforms, and work transportation.
When your enlistment is over, if you don't decide to make a career of the military, the GI Bill will PAY FOR your education, and you will have veterans hiring preference at many employers.
Make sure you visit with recruiters from each of the military before you decide which branch to join.
Good luck.
Through a plane stupid.
