I'm currently in san jose and i want to know if south west or the airlines will allow me to transport my sword to arizona where i live. Is there any way? can i give it to them so they can put it with the other luggages that go into the airplane cargo? or do i have to mail it to my adress? Please answer Thanks a million

Yes, you can take the sword into your checked luggage- just not your carry-on, obviously. Your luggage might be subjected to an extra search, but if you have nothing to hide, that shouldn't be anything to worry about.
From the TSA website:
"NOTE: Any sharp objects in checked baggage should be sheathed or securely wrapped to prevent injury to baggage handlers and inspectors."
You should safely wrap up your sword so it isn't damaged, and so it won't give any injuries to people.
