did you try lendingtree.com? maybe ditech?
I just refied with citibank.com i dont have as much equity as you but my credit is good. Good luck
based on your financial and credit standing i would highly suggest do not get an equity loan you might end up loosing your house. if you need to tap on your house's equity i suggest home equity line of credit which you could reborrow in the future even if your credit is not so good and the account is open for you to tap. at this economic condition it is nill to get approved by the bank. but if you are really desperate go to smaller banks, remember if you go to other real estate companies you still going to end up dealing with the banks because they are their financier and with more fees involved. look up some other options without tapping into your home. property values are going down remember if you tell them you need 10k they would only give you half if they want to take a chance on you with the kind of credit standing you have.
Since you are on fixed income, you probably won't get it.
You might want to try to get a home equity line of credit (HELOC) instead of a fixed loan.
Hey David, if your over 62 you can get a reverse mortgage but becareful because the fees are pretty high.
Good Luck
May I recommend that you don't get one. If you're having financial problems and are on a fixed income, there's a good chance you may default on the loan--and then you would lose your house.
