I've been playing hockey for almost 20 , with almost no hockey between the ages of 14-20. Lately my legs have been getting real tired after only playing for about 15 minutes. It isn't that I'm getting older or out of shape, as I exercise regularly and I am in my mid-20's.
Once they get tired, it feels like I have to use all my strength to get them to do what I want them to do. Anyone else have this problem? Anyone know how to fix it? More stretching, food, water?
Does this happen to anyone else

Maybe you're overworking your body. If you work out regularly, make sure you spend a day between each workout so your muscles can rest.
For you're issue, I would suggest these tips: - Sleep enough (at least 8 hours)
- Stretch before AND after the activity
- Eating pasta before can help since it gives you energy
- Drinking a energy drink can help too if you're really tired, but do it if you have a heart condition, etc because it contains caffeine
- During the game, drink Gatorade. It ables you to maintain a right amount of carbohydrate (sugars) in your body which is used to supply you energy you might need as well
- Leg training is the best way to avoid this in my opinion. Your legs will be stronger and they will be able to support a longer effort
Good luck!
It depends how you are swimming, if you are just playing around you won't be as tired but if you are swimming in the lanes you could be tired a lot faster but swimming can really build up your strength and endurence for hockey. If you do both on the same day, you will be tired but its good for you.
Sometimes, but it's more because I have asthma I think. My muscles also get tired when I'm physically tired (imagine that...)
