I have a graphics card that I picked up a few years back which is the Nvidia Geforce 9800gt 1gb. I want to buy another graphics card and I have my eyes on the Geforce GTX 550 ti and I wanted to know (because I am not an expert on video cards) if there is much of a difference between them. I want to know if I will be getting my moneys worth because if I do buy the gtx I don't want it to perform the same as my 9800gt I want it to perform better. I bought my 9800gt for $150 and I looked up that the gtx costs about $130 so I want to know if I should make the change.

You should see a 20% - 30% increase in performance in most games compared to the 9800gt.
The GTX 550 TI is a decent card, but it is not worth $130. A $115 Radeon HD 6770 (aka 5770) will be just as good for less money.
