I need some advise. Okay, this guy and I have been dating for 8 months. I like him a lot and love being with him. Here lately though, I have had this sinking feeling that he is too good for me and we shouldn't be together.
He knows me well enough to know that something is wrong, but he thinks I'm mad at him. I tried to explain, but I could tell that he didn't understand. I then called him at home to talk it all out with him, but he was at work. The person who answered the phone at his house called him at work to tell him that I had called. So, he called me from his job at a fast food restaurant. I could hear all the people talking and joking with him from his work.
There is no way that he didn't know what I wanted, he's smarter than that. And now I'm upset because I feel like I'm a joke to him.
Am I misunderstanding, or is he kind of a jerk? ~*HELP!!!*~

He seems to be somewhat of a jerk... All you are doing is trying to say your feelings. Calling him was a bad idea though, its more approiate to talk about your feelings over in person, when you dont, things can come across as something totally different than what you want them too. Otherwise your doing everything right, I would want you to do what your doing if you were my girlfriend. All I know is just try talking to him about it in person, just you too, if he doesn't pay attention, then break it off with him... because YOU are better than that... espacially when you try to admit your faults to him whatever they may be. i think your misunderstanding with guys alot of the time we joke around about you to a friends and our friends will say ****. that how you know he does care. wait til he gets home from work call him up and tell him exactly everything you feel. you never want to be left thinking what it could have been like if you worked it out so dont give up yet there can be good to come out of this.
well i wouldnt dump him but just tell him your feelings forget about it all and just feel close 2 him eventually the relationship would grow closer good luck!
