I hooked up with this guy all summer, and I really liked him. We thought about dating, but it never worked out (he was crazy busy with work, I was busy with school). I just saw him for the first time in a month, and we went out to a bar with some friends and ended up hooking up.

Earlier in the night, I told him that I still really liked him and that it was a problem. He said that he liked me too, and asked why I didn't believe him. I said it was because we weren't dating, and he said we couldn't bc we're going to be coworkers soon (I got a job at the firm before I met him) and he'd technically be my superior.

Was he telling the truth when he said he liked me?

He and I were both pretty drunk when we were talking about this last night, though we've talked about it before sober and drunk. It's just the first time that he said outright that he liked me, so i don't know...
