I have a few friends that love to make me feel guilty every time that I can't go somewhere with them or do something or if I just don't want to do anything because I don't feel like it. I feel as if I've been a good friend to them, I'm always up to be there when trouble comes and I'm hardly ever disrespectful to someone who doesn't deserve it. They're not bad people, they're just fickle and at a point in their lives where they're pretty self-absorbed and I completely understand that.
The guilt trips are generally pre-planned to make me feel bad (I'm a softie- I always do) but other times I can tell that I've really hurt someone's feelings. They always pass and we're back to friends in no time but
I was just wondering how to get over someone's cold shoulder.
Any advice?
Oh, and I can't just ignore them and hope that they come to their senses because they're stubborn and we live kind of far apart -it's summertime so we need to plan to meet if anything can be done.

Dont ignore them, ignore the things they say to make you feel bad. If they were true friends they would understand if u dont want to hang out or cant. Id probably talk to them about it. Tell them that they seem to be putting you in guilt trips. Maybe they dont know? Or tell them when you cant do something that your really sorry and you will hang out with them sometime soon...
Remember true friends understand , and they dont make you feel bad!
