It is a test to see if you're strong enough to stand up to them. Just calmly point out that they're being unreasonable. For example, "you pointed out <name> the other day, so how is this different"?

I used to handle these things by looking at her like she was crazy holding out an imaginary bottle. When she'd ask what I was doing, I'd ask "Midol?" She'd almost always smile.
