Hello. I've recently been having issues with my PS3. It's a brand new PS3 that I bought a little over a month ago, and it was working fine a week ago or 2 when I last played it, but I recently tried to play it, and the gameplay is terribly choppy. It makes me sick just to try to play games on it. At first, I thought it was just my Fallout 3 disc, but I tried Crysis 2, Fallout New Vegas, Killzone 3, etc. On all the games I played, the gameplay was so choppy it rendered the game unplayable. Now here's the stupid part on my part. I know this is very ignorant before I get spammed with insulting comments haha. I have been away from home alot this past week or two, and I accidentally left my PS3 on for the whole week or two. Could overheating be the reason for choppy gameplay? Any ideas how to fix this issue would be greatly appreciated!

I have heard that the thermal tape on the PS3's aren't very good. So it probably overheated. Try taking it to Gamestop or something. I'm guessing you're still under warranty.
