I am not a very seasoned traveler, but I want to go to the presidential Inauguration. I'd like to know from anyone with experience some of the cheapest ways to get from FL (Tampa preferably, but nearby could also work) to DC.

What are the cheapest airlines?

Is it worth the savings to take a 22 hr. train or bus ride? Any good companies?

How long would it take to just drive this far?

Keep in mind the prices are pretty jacked up because of the Inauguration. Any tips or tricks on how to beat the system are much appreciated!
