Don't know how long ago all this happened, but one sure way to check it out is to find out if this ex-girlfriend has lukemia? Even /w chemo &/or other meds she won't be in remission in just a month or two?

In answer to your question, the chances of passing cancerous cells (any cancer) from mother to baby are usually barred by the placenta. (In very rare cases the placenta lets some 'bad guys' thru; not usually!) Medically speaking, nothing is "impossible", just very, very remote.

Why would he lie a/b getting someone pregnant? Doubtful...but if this gal said all this.....she's prolly got a problem...if there ever even WAS a baby...this is a pretty 'fantastic' story, esp cuz it's so easily traced.

There are some cancers that can be transmitted to the fetus, although, I'm not positive that leukemia is one of them. Likely, the baby died due to complications from the disease...either way, it's very sad.

The only thing I could see killing the fetus is a medical abortion (which they would more than likely recommend) or the chemotherapy and/or radiation therapy.

If she had leukemia then, she will surely have it now (remission lasts awhile). You should look her up on myspace or facebook and see if she has any red ribbon gifs. If you know friends of hers you could ask if she ever had leukemia too.
