My baby girl is 2 months old and I have been breastfeeding her since birth. I recently went back to work and have been pumping. The sitter has been giving her bottles of breast milk. But I am having trouble keeping up my stored supply of milk however and the sitter has recently had to use formula for some feedings. Today I was trying to breastfeed and out of nowhere it seems my baby is having trouble eating. My nipples are kind of small so I don't know if she is suddenly having trouble because of the bottle nipples. I was thinking about trying to pump a minute before feeding her to see if that would help. Anyone have any advice? I'd like to continue breastfeeding as long as I can. Thank you!

The important thing is to keep the milk going by pumping or breastfeeding (preferable) as often as possible.
I would contact a lactation consultant with the questions. Drinking from a bottle is easier for baby and they will take the bottle over the breast if they can. That's why you want to breastfeed as much as possible, but if you have to work you have to use a bottle then.
I would start drinking Breastea from http://www.breastea.com/ to increase milk supply. It really does work. Make sure you drink it on a consistent basis. You should see your milk supply start to increase pretty quick.
Try taking herbal supplements like More Milk Plus in liquid form... works wonders. I use to pump 2-3 oz every 3 hours but after taking More Milk Plus I'm able to pump 7-10 oz every 4 hours. My freezer is almost full of milk!
It could be nipple confusion. Make sure the nipples on the bottles are slow flow and are for breast fed babies. I use Born Free bottles. I breastfeed and bottle feed my 9 week old :). You're right, it is good to pump a little before you hAve her latch on. It does bring your nipples out if they are short( I hAve that problem sometimes...especially if I'm engorged)
