You should fine running a smaller size turbo on 8lbs with a descent tune. The thing is type R motors have a high compression and better chance of blowing your motor especially if you don't get a good tune. If in the future you plan on bumping up the boost your should get your motor built for it. Gonna need upgrade your clutch and should get a lightweight flywheel while your at it. It should be around 230 to 250hp to the wheels depending on the turbo size. A good turbo kit is gonna be $2 - $4 grand and don't buy any crappy turbo kits off ebay for $600, they will do more harm to your motor then good. And a b18c5 has 195 to the flywheel not to the ground people??
Your car should be putting out 190 HP at the wheel with a B18C5. With a turbo you should be at 250 HP. But I wouldn't suggest you slap on a turbo, I'd go with a supercharger because unless your willing to change out all the engine internal parts then a supercharger will be a better choice. The supercharger will not damage you engine like a turbo would plus it will last longer then the turbo.
type r motor should run 200hp
but if you put a turbo im not sure if the engine can hold it
you might need to upgrade your bottom block like putting in stronger rods, piston, rings, etc. to hold the turbo
when you have finished turboing it you should get about 250hp or up
will probably run 11-12 sec 1/4 mile
well running it at bout 8 psi of boost youll gain bout 50 to 60 hp. so youll make a lil over 210 hp to the wheels
