I am going to be flying from Oregon to Washington on the 19th of this month, and it will be my first time flying. I am 14 and I'm actually going alone. I'm really obsessive about things all the way until they're over and the whole situation is done, and I'm extremely nervous! I'm taking a carry on and a purse. What is the whole process of things after I get to the airport? Also I have asthma and I'm definitely bringing my inhaler but do I have to have the prescription box too? How can I get through security smoothly? Please help?

Relax....things will go smoothly. You may bring your inhaler in your purse...just "declare" it to security ...that means tell them about it when you go through. You just follow directions as you go through security and it is very quick. You do not need the prescription box. There are 3 steps at the airport. first, go to the check-in desk of your airline and get your boarding pass....just look for their huge sign. Second, goto security and follow their directions to walk through. third, look on your boarding pass for your gate number and follow the big signs to your gate and wait there. Everyone at the airport is very nice and glad to answer questions if you need to ask anything. Have a great time.
Cool, I'm 16 and i travel alone sometimes too. Of course you can bring your inhaler, just remember to tell them at security. First, get boarding pass at front desk. It should be the desk when you first come into the airport. Second, go through security. Make sure to tell them about the inhaler. After that, if you have enough time, you can go grab a bite or a little drink for yourself. Then just continue to the gate # that is printed on your pass. Pretty easy. Peace!
