Hey there.
Soo I'm turning 16 in a little over a month and I want to have a party!
My mom came up the idea for a backyard party! I have a pretty big backyard, but there's nothing really in it(no pool, trampoline, ect.)
I was thinking of getting christmas lights and decorating the trees and stuff with that. We could have a cookout, and get a DJ. So it would be like a dance party.
But I want it to be fun!! Maybe we should rent a moon bounce, or a dance floor?
Got any cool ideas for food, fun things, and decorations for my backyard that isn't too pricey?
Thanks so much (:
Update:Oh, and there will probably be around 50/60 people (:

I love backyard parties. Go to a party store to get the decorations. They have a lot of nice things there , and its not that costly.
Why don"t you go with a theme party. Do you have a favorite era, like the 80's, or the 70"s. You can do a disco theme and rent a dance floor. Same with the 80"s. Have your guests dress up like they did in that time.
You can rent some tents, chairs tables, etc. There not that expensive.
I had my son"s 30th Bd party in the yard. we had a blast. His friends loved it too. My son always liked Madonna, so I found a madonna impersonator to come to the house and surprise him. The cost was $300.00 dollars and well worth it. I went on line and found this talent agency, I can"t recall the name of it right now. They had a lot of celebrities to pick from. The guests loved it too. She was there for about 40 minutes.
I hope I helped a little. Good luck. I"m sure whatever you plan we be just fine.
Have a Happy Sweet 16!
once you're doing a Blast from the previous, why no longer circulate all out and incorporate previously time classes- even the 1800s or some thing? If I have been going to one in each of those events, i could wanna bust out one in each of my Fifties or 80s clothing ;) that's an quite stable theory, i could do this for my 18ths birthday that's bobbing up in some months.
Happy birthday Abby well someone has no imaginationow Now how come you don't rent cool huge waterslides or have a theme for you party. Make cool treats. Rent a popcorn ice cream cotton candy maker. Be creative. Hope I helped
Hey,
Twinkling lights would be so pretty. Maybe make some crystal rock candy (super easy and super fun to make at home) Heres the recipe: http://chemistry.about.com/od/foodcookingchemistry...
Or you could always skip the little sticks and just make them into little bit size pieces
And a way to arrange them: http://www.google.ca/imgres?imgurl=http://www.jord...
Do you have gravel somewhere in your backyard? Glow in the dark chalk is something super fun and glam for a party. Buy some glow-sticks too! They have bracelets and necklaces etc. to share with your friends.
Hope I helped!

Why not hire a serial killer to hunt all your friends, and the last one to survive the party gets a prize - the moon bounce all to themselves! YAY!
Mice droppings as confetti could be nice! (:
