Sleeping trouble?

I work 2nd shift and I get home about 11:30pm, I go to bed around 2 and wake up about 7am wide awake but still feeling really tired. This has been happening the last few days exactly the same like clock work. People have told me that drinking beer before is whats doing it or smoking before bed does it too. I gotta do something about this. Sleeping pills don't work, it has pretty much the same effect.
