And no I don't think people bother to realize that the Bible is God-inspired and that Jesus wasn't a prophet but God in the flesh, therefore the New Testament is the covenant he came to leave with the Jews and the heathens (all others of the earth) even though the Jews rejected Him to cling to their Old Covenant and the Qu'ran was written by a man who had no inspiration from God. This is not to be offensive, but if it offends, then let the Truth be sought out of what is Truth in God and Spirit as scripture would have us to do and not what is Truth in God and man.

The Quran does NOT teach people to kill others. Have you read it and do you know what you are reading? All ancient texts have literal and figurative translations. Some people choose to interpret everything literally. They are called "fundamentalists." There are both Muslim and Christian fundamentalists.

If you take things literally then what about the Bible saying "An eye for an eye; a tooth for a tooth." Doesn't that mean if someone kills then they should be killed? What about David and Goliath? What about the "Crusades" in which Christian Holy Wars were waged killing Muslims and Jews??? They did this in the name of Jesus and Christianity.

No Jesus never taught violence toward others. The Bible is full of many versus that state "God" directed some rather horrid violence toward other humans. Christians have been killing in "his" name since.
