PS3 Wireless Connection Dropping...?
The wireless connection on my PS3, which is around 40%-, gives me a 3 bar at most on CoD. However, when another desktop in my house connected to the same router as my PS3 turns on, the connection instantly drops, and gives me a one bar in the middle of games or even disconnects me from PSN. I know this is common for wireless connections, but is there any way to prevent this?
Also, if i were to change the connection between my PS3 and router to wired, would the connection still drop when the desktop connected to the same router is turned on? Please answer ASAP, and thanks in advance.

Wired connections are always more stable but other devices on your home network still slightly interfer, just not as much.
Giving your ps3 a static ip address will reduce interference from other devices. It's easy to do, google it.
Putting a DMZ on your ps3's router connection will also improve things but only so much. Look for the dmz option on your routers web page or ask your isp how to do it.
The best i can come up with is... you need a new wirless router... either that or you have too many devices pulling from the wireless router.... i.e. an iphone, or android, laptops, blue-ray players even now have built in wifi...
your router may not be able to handle all these multiple devices at one time... you should convert to a n-router... they are far better and they give a better range, also you could check with your internet provider to see the consistansy of the intwernet they are providing for you... how many mb/ps you are getting and so on... i personally recommend a 10 mb/ps connection at least when using it for gaming and streaming video, etc...
