Trying to get my 2 1/2 yr old daughter to potty train. She always manages to tell me AFTER she's already gone though! Any idea's on how to prevent that. I've even tried panties, and she still just goes! Is she just not ready or something??

she is probably just not quite ready..it will happen soon, dont force her and dont get "mad" at her for having accidents, she has the basic concept of it and will get the hang of it sooner or later.
i would try with pull ups, they are sometimes effective, also buy her a small gift or candy if she succeeds
good luck
My daughter was going through the same thing!! It was so very frustrating! She is now nearly 4 and is still having a hard time. She has gotten much better over the last few weeks. She would tell me that she just didn't want to go. Countless arguments ensued on the subject and we finally just stopped promising things for the accomplishment. She started going on her own when the kids at the daycare started calling her the Poopy monster.
Mean but it worked.
It gave me the opportunity to have a heart to heart talk with her and we decided that if she didn't want to be called names anymore then she should start using the potty like a big girl. She has become very proud of her new accomplishment and we are finally getting some relief! (now her brother is 2 and starting to train) Hopefully he will be a little easier.
I would say she is not quite ready yet. Dont force the issue, if she stays in diapers a little longer it will be better in the long run. She will learn it when she is ready, dont completely give up, keep doing what you are doing and she will pick it up. One idea I read on a different post was to use cloth diapers and plastic pants so they can feel the difference when wet. If you have that kind of time and the urge to do more laundry you can try using cloth diapers. I've stayed with disposable diapers, they will learn.
I have a really great e-book on the signs of readiness, and how to train in 3 days or less. Its simple, yet really effective. Worked on my 19 month old daughter, and my 3 year old nephew who had been really difficult. Might be just what u need. Email me at [email protected] and I will send you a copy.
Switch to pull ups. He can take them off and put them back on without problem. use small stickers as a reward. "Potty Stickers". Every time he uses the potty you give him a sticker and only when he uses the potty. I like giving out bigger stickers for poop stickers. Don't forget to let him watch when mom and dad go potty. It helps give them the idea what it's for. Don't forget the potty dance and spin around the circles when he flushes the toilet.
"MAGIC WATER" put one of those clinsing drops in the tank and tell your daughter the water will turn from blue to green if she pees like a big girl......worked for my three girls
Not or something, she's just not ready.
