for school we are doing multicultarism... our class are doing photograpy from other cultures.. how can we represent different cultures through pics? eg italian, dutch , japenese etc..
If I read your question correctly you said "our class are doing photography from other cultures", in that case you need to know what represents different cultures before you'll find suitable images. Try a Google image search and look for examples of pictures from each culture that show costumes, lifestyles, activities and locations associated with those cultures. For Italian - a pizza maker, fashion model, a gondolier perhaps. For Dutch - national costume, Delft potter, cheese making, clog making. Japanese - costume, theatre, religion, sushi chef. Research the cultures then find the pictures.
If you meant you need to take new pictures of different cultures that could be more difficult as your local locations wont look like the countries the cultures you're trying to represent come from.
Actually, this is an important challenge/opportunity for you which goes beyond photography. This is a situation which may repeat itself many times in future years, in one form or another. Since you love photography, you should not allow someone else to ruin your enjoyment of it. That takes controlling your own thoughts and emotions regarding this teacher. You need to make a conscious effort to enjoy your hobby despite this problem. I would recommend you check the library for the book "The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People." Its reading can be challenging, but it explains these concepts.
I like photoace's answer. And they would probably be more than willing to allow you to photograph an event in exchange for a cd or prints from the shoot.
