Next year I was considering taking a photography class. I was wondering in most cases do you have to buy a camera or can you rent one or borrow one? I imagine next year I will get more details, but I was just wondering in advance. If I do need to purchase a camera what are some good cameras that you would recommend for this class that aren't very expensive!
Thanks!

In most schools you borrow the camera from the school for no cost, the only time you will have to pay is if you damage or lose the camera. I think the cameras stay inside the classroom 90% of the time however. Anyways, you could just go speak to the teacher now just to ask some questions.
Most schools will provide a minimum camera to meet the class requirements, otherwise some students will not be able to take the class. However, with school districts as cash strapped as they are, you may need to provide your own.
Most of the more expensive point and shoot cameras, and all of the bridge and dSLRs would probably meet the minimum needs of the photo class. If you are interested, sign up for the class, figure out what is required and then ask the question again with more details.
Hi there there ~ i'm a pro photographer ~ and that i feel your first answer by means of Jeff is pleasant ~ its no longer effortless to take a good photograph with the aid of protecting the digital camera out in entrance of you, however you might are trying shooting your self in front of a replicate ~[turn the flash off otherwise it will not work] With the self timer, and the digicam on a tripod appear to get shadow for your face, on one aspect, so that section is in mild and the other simply suggests a smooth define. Have fun ~ and good good fortune
