I've had my belly button pierced for almost a year this early December. If I took it out, how long would it take to close up? And what if I got pregnant in like 10 years, how long would it take to close up then?
Update:I haven't put earrings in my ears in over 2 years, and the holes are still there.

I got mine pierced when i was 14 and took it out when i was 18 and have had a couple kids and now 23 it is still oped and i have a ring in it again it was a little hard to get in but i have it back in.
Depending on how well it healed and how well it was pierced it could take anywhere from months to a year or much more. Since everyone is different, it's hard to say.
I would guess that if you took it out now, with it being pierced and healed for a decent amount of time, that it might not fully heal, but the hole will shrink slightly and inserting jewelry will either be impossible to do or just very difficult.
I pierced my belly button once, but it didn't work for me, for some reason it would hurt all the time even though I used medication for it to heal...well, I took it out and it closed within a week I believe. My cousin got it done too and she still kept it throughout and after her pregnancy. It looks fine.
I think it would close up in a day or two. Then If you didn't take it out till you got really big it would probably close up in about the same time frame.
it actually depends on your bodys healing process, some times it doesnt and the hole will only looked closed but with a little push it will break though and other times it will heal stright up.
and when pregnant same thing.
It's pretty unpredictable.
It could stay open for a year if you occasionally put a ring in it once in a while, but I really don't know, that's just with mine.
Also, I wouldn't know about it if you were to get pregnate.
It will start closing up in a few days.....
